Concrete Jungle is a light installation that invites visitors to decorate the Lion Monument in Lucerne.
About
Presented at the Lucerne Light Festival 2022, this participative installation reimagined Lucerne’s iconic Lion Monument. The core concept was to transform the historic symbol of sacrifice into an interactive canvas of collective life.
Visitors used a digital interface to design vibrant natural scenes using images of plants, animals and fantasy elements, which were then projected onto the monument in a sequenced light performance, culminating in the lion’s joyful roar.

I contributed to the project as part of Nachtlicht together with Fusion.Robot for the Lucerne Light Festival.
The concept was to digitally reforest the stone, surrounding the monument of the dying lion with the vibrant life it had lost to the city.
